The Integrated Continuing Care Unit (UCCI) of Garcia de Horta Hospital has 60 beds as well as all integrated support services.
The nursing home also has 60 beds and shares medical services with the UCCI. The program also includes a nursery that will interact with the elderly.
The main facade to the south is a green double facade that will produce horticultural products by hydroponics in tray structures. The project is composed of three buildings: one for the exclusive use of the UCCI, other for a nursing home and the third for all areas and services (green zone) common to both buildings.
The building will include water heating through solar thermal collectors, low noise wind turbines and electric power generation by photovoltaic struture installed on the roof.
