Restaurante Libero Badaró
Description
The project consists of creating an events venue located in the Historic Centre of São Paulo, set within a historic building of approximately 3,000 sqm. The proposal seeks to recover the atmosphere of vitality and sophistication that marked the city centre in its inaugural period, reinterpreting that imagery through a new contemporary experience.
The programme is distributed across restaurants, bars and a nightclub, creating a dining and entertainment destination that comes to life at different moments of the day and night. The interior architecture combines mid-century references with a maximalist approach, exploring materials, colours, textures, furniture and decorative elements of strong presence.
The proposal starts from valuing the building’s memory and the history of São Paulo’s centre, drawing on references from different eras without literally reproducing the past. The aim is to create a premium space, marked by the character and theatricality of its interiors, that revives the feeling of a vibrant, cosmopolitan and culturally relevant city centre.
The result is an intervention that connects heritage and contemporaneity, transforming a historic building into a new place to meet and celebrate in the centre of São Paulo.
