The building stands at no. 252 on Av. da Liberdade, Lisbon’s prime commercial axis, in a property with romantic features. The intervention focuses on the main façade at ground floor, opening new bays to create appealing shopfronts and improve interior quality. This makes the retail units economically viable and supports their occupation.

The design respects the concepts, stereotomy and construction method of the original building. Thus, the change reads as a harmonious update that preserves the ensemble in stone masonry. Finally, the work on Av. da Liberdade adapts the ground floor to contemporary retail while keeping the identity of the property.
