Description

The project for this building, a palatial house dating from the mid-19th century at Avenida da Liberdade, proposed the conservation, alteration and expansion of the building and the construction of a new body to be built in the backyard area. This new body is proposed with an architectural language and contemporary materiality.

Soon it will house a luxurious hotel, with an interior design project by Vicent Van Duysen.

The project maintains the exterior reading of the existing building and, at the interior level, maintains its core of stairs, marked by the marble stone staircase flanked by the iron railing and retains the decorative elements that were used throughout the building. being added.

In the main facade, it proposes to tear vertically the existing openings in order to create doors to access two proposed stores on floor 0.
