Beach Bar Aberta Nova

Beach Bar Aberta Nova is a seaside restaurant located on the stunning Aberta Nova beach, in Melides. The project features a discreet circular structure that blends naturally into the surrounding dunes and opens towards the Atlantic Ocean.

The building has only one floor. It was designed to ensure a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. This allows guests to enjoy a direct and immersive connection with nature. Local materials, such as natural wood, Estremoz marble and terracotta flooring, create a calm and grounded atmosphere.

Inside, there are 52 seating places. The interior design includes Mediterranean textures, soft lighting and decorative elements inspired by traditional local crafts. The space is welcoming, elegant and relaxed.

In addition, the beachfront location and careful integration with the landscape make this beach bar a unique destination on the Alentejo coast. It demonstrates how architecture can enhance natural settings without disrupting them.
