Brodheim Store
Description
Brodheim is a retail project concept, for the Lisbon Airport, designed by Contacto Atlântico as a refined example of commercial architecture focused on form and experience. Covering a compact area of 98 m², the store was conceived to offer a visually striking and functional spatial journey.
The central design feature is a sculptural ceiling composed of white slats that ripple across the space in an organic flow. This architectural gesture creates a captivating rhythm, guides visitor circulation, and enhances spatial perception. At the same time, it establishes a strong and memorable identity.
Light wood flooring and matching ceiling details introduce a warm, subtle contrast. This material choice enhances the overall elegance of the design while adding comfort and softness to the visual narrative.
Custom-designed furniture follows the same curves as the ceiling. Each element was crafted to highlight the products while ensuring maximum functionality. Carefully integrated lighting emphasizes volumes, highlights textures, and reinforces spatial clarity.
The store opens directly onto the airport corridor, forming a seamless transition between the interior and exterior. This fluid connection invites travellers to enter and increases the store’s visibility.
Despite its limited size, Brodheim conveys a sense of spaciousness, sophistication, and flow. The result is a premium retail experience that balances visual identity with efficiency.
