Daycare Sanches

Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Leiria, as part of restoring its architectural heritage, renewed and installed its headquarters in the buildings on Rua Trindade Coelho in Leiria, integrating Daycare Sanches.

The project restores the existing building and removes the annexes, the funeral chapel and the maintenance services of Hospital D. Manuel de Aguiar.

Internal functions align with the headquarters program. On the ground floor, Daycare Sanches accommodates 36 children and includes a 70-seat auditorium. In addition, a lift ensures access for people with reduced mobility, improving comfort and safety. In this way, the ensemble preserves memory and updates public use with clarity and quality.
