Faculdade de Motricidade Humana

The architecture project for the new bar at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, in Cruz Quebrada, proposes the remodelling, upgrading and reorganisation of a set of spaces for student support, with a focus on wellbeing, thermal comfort and functionality. The intervention aims to create an environment adapted to the intensive use of students and other users of the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana.

The proposal values spatial clarity, energy efficiency and material durability, with a rigorous technical approach to continuous epoxy resin floors, masonry walls with thermal insulation, suspended plasterboard ceilings with acoustic insulation, and robust waterproofing appropriate to wet areas and technical roofs.

In the bar and refectory the design prioritises functionality and hygiene, with washable finishes, integrated equipment and technical worktops, as well as ventilation and lighting solutions incorporated into the architectural elements.
