Green Affair Baixa
Description
Located on Rua Serpa Pinto, in Baixa-Chiado, Lisbon, Green Affair introduces a new destination for vegetarian dining within a refined urban context. The project reflects a thoughtful approach to contemporary architecture in Portugal, where atmosphere, materiality, and spatial clarity are carefully articulated to support a distinctive brand experience. Designed by Contacto Atlântico, a top architecture firm in Portugal, the space aligns with the principles of high-end architecture, combining functionality with a strong and coherent identity.
The restaurant is organised into three distinct areas, each defined by its own atmosphere, with the entrance acting as a welcoming transition into the space. This sequence establishes a gradual and immersive experience, where the concept is expressed through a balanced combination of natural materials and colours. Clean architectural lines are complemented by soft textures, creating an environment that is intimate, comfortable, and visually refined.
Architectural Design, Materiality and Atmosphere
The interior design is guided by a careful interplay between light, material, and proportion. Warm lighting, combined with discreet control systems, enhances the perception of wood and stone surfaces, reinforcing a calm and cohesive atmosphere. This approach highlights the importance of materiality in shaping the spatial experience.
Mirrors and metal details are strategically introduced to expand the perception of space while maintaining a sense of balance and restraint. These elements contribute to a layered interior composition, where depth and reflection are used without compromising clarity.
Circulation is intuitive and fluid, allowing users to move naturally between different areas. Furniture is selected with a focus on ergonomics and durability, supporting both comfort and long-term use. This attention to detail ensures that the space performs efficiently while maintaining a high level of design quality.
Leading Architecture Firm in Portugal: Identity and Experience
The relationship between architecture and brand identity is central to the Green Affair project, ensuring that the spatial language reflects the values of the concept. The design remains close to nature, both in material expression and atmosphere, creating a coherent and welcoming environment.
Green Affair Baixa stands as a clear example of how architecture can elevate hospitality spaces through precision and sensitivity. As part of Contacto Atlântico’s portfolio, it reinforces the studio’s position as a leading architecture firm in Portugal, recognised for delivering sophisticated and context-driven design solutions.
