Lisbon Waterfront
Description
The Lisbon Waterfront, located in Pedrouços, reorganizes the urban edge along the Tagus River to host the prestigious America’s Cup. The first phase of the project focused on planning the technical areas, docks, and support zones for the event, while also creating clear pedestrian and road connections that improved circulation along the riverfront.
In the second phase, the plan expanded into a mixed-use development with retail, offices, hotels, and parking. This evolution strengthens the continuity of the riverfront and reconnects Lisbon with its maritime identity. The Lisbon Waterfront represents a model of sustainable urban design that merges leisure, work, and tourism. It enhances mobility, public spaces, and the overall experience of the city’s vibrant coastal landscape.
