Sand Villa
Description
Sand Villa in Comporta. The project sits in a serene green landscape where Alentejo vegetation meets the sea breeze. The site is expansive and still raw, so the aim was to value the setting and create a home in harmony with nature, encouraging indoor–outdoor experience.
At Sand Villa, the volumes rest on the ground and adapt to the irregular topography and sandy soil. The massing is simple and discreet, following the surrounding landscape. An outdoor path distributes and connects all areas. It starts at the outdoor lounge and pool, passes the technical zone, and continues through the common areas, bedrooms, and kitchen. This path works as the hinge of the project. The volumes are offset to enhance daylight, with most openings oriented to the east and west.
Materiality is central. Natural materials lead the palette to build a dialogue between place and construction. Neutral tones and wood create unity and continuity between exterior and interior.
