Serra da Estrela
Description
Contacto Atlântico designed the Serra da Estrela restaurant, located at Colombo Shopping Centre in Lisbon. The goal was to modernize the space while preserving the original identity. At the same time, the project responded to updated functional and aesthetic requirements.
The layout includes two main areas: a tray-line service zone and a dining room with seated areas. The interior was carefully organized to maximize the public area while ensuring separation between the kitchen and the dining room. This is achieved through a discreet access door.
Interior finishes are simple, durable, and easy to maintain. For example, the project includes plasterboard walls, marine plywood with decorative vinyl, and ceramic finishes. In the kitchen, the ceiling is made of washable plasterboard. Food preparation happens at the back of the space and is partially visible, creating a more engaging experience.
The restaurant’s front façade features a contemporary look with brown and beige tones. Materials include wood panels, bronze tiles, and a backlit sign. All choices prioritize hygiene, durability, and low maintenance.
This project by Contacto Atlântico complies with strict safety and hygiene regulations. At the same time, it enhances user comfort and reinforces the visual identity of the restaurant within the shopping centre.
