Villa Oliveira
Description
Villa Oliveira is a project by Contacto Atlântico, developed through the combined work of its architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design teams. Located in the Herdade da Costa Terra Golf & Ocean Club, in Melides, this luxury villa offers calm living, thoughtful functionality, and a deep connection with nature.
The villa stands on a 4,094 m² plot and occupies a footprint of 522.74 m². It features a total gross construction area of 1,005.87 m² and is organized over two levels. The design team made slight modifications to the initial plan. These changes improved site integration, reduced building mass, and enhanced access without compromising the project’s vision.
The garden design uses native vegetation and local materials to ensure natural integration. Species such as cork oak, wild olive, stone pine, ficus carica, agapanthus, and parthenocissus create privacy, shade, and softness.
Architectural finishes like smooth render, natural wood slats, and whitewashed masonry railings support a restrained and elegant identity. Inside, the design includes a reorganized wine cellar, a redefined entrance sequence, and a light pergola covered in polycarbonate. These details enhance user comfort while maintaining formal clarity.
Contacto Atlântico is the Local Architect for this project, while the Concept Architect is Alberto Alfonso Architects.
