Moradia stands out for its clean, minimalist lines, functionality and sustainability.
Every Thursday we open the doors to a dream home. And this time we travel to Cascais to discover the latest residential project by the Contacto Atlântico studio, founded in 1996 by architect André Caiado. It comprises more than 600 square metres (sqm), rigorously designed to “serve family living”.
This modern house stands out for its clean, minimalist lines, functionality and sustainability. The residence, built in Quinta da Bicuda, “benefits from architecture capable of making the most of its surroundings, by capturing and enhancing solar exposure throughout the year and, at the same time, ensuring the necessary privacy”, according to the studio. It has three bedrooms, with a basement garage and common areas and kitchen on the ground floor.
Distributed over two floors above ground level, as well as a subterranean floor dedicated to the garage and technical areas, the structure is fully equipped with large glazed areas, with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the exterior indoors. The existing balconies are spacious and the covered outdoor areas generous.
“The project, which began in 2019 and was recently completed, always had the primary objective of building a modern house integrated into its natural surroundings, making the most of the available light. Glazed surfaces coexist with the modern lines that define the entire structure, with design aligning with the functionality and practicality required for family life,” explains André Caiado, CEO of Contacto Atlântico.
