Misericórdia de Leiria Nursing

This project is the reformulation of a building annexed to the Hospital Manuel Aguiar, in a residence for seniors, with 15 simple rooms and 9 double rooms, for a total of 33 beds.

The aim was to create an architecture that opens out towards the city and the river, while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment with continuous support for the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents.

The architectural project combined functionality and accessibility with a sensitive and human-centred approach, designing spaces that enhance residents’ quality of life and overall well-being.
