Casa Mar d’Alecrim
Description
Casa Mar d’Alecrim is a Landscape Architecture project that develops the concept design for gardens and orchards on a property in Odemira. The aim is to pair luxury with environmental responsibility, valuing the local landscape and ecological fruit production. Therefore, the proposal favours simple, legible solutions suited to the climate.
Covering about 24,000 m², it brings together ornamental gardens, productive areas and native, drought resistant species. This choice reduces maintenance and optimises water efficiency throughout the year. In addition, the layout makes the most of sun exposure and sets out pedestrian routes that connect courtyards, meadows, the pool and seating zones.
The experience is calm and sensory. Natural textures, well placed shade and open views invite people to stay. The landscape team works in close coordination with other disciplines to ensure coherence between design, sustainability and everyday comfort.
The Casa Mar d’Alecrim project strengthens the site’s identity with a cohesive, efficient landscape rooted in regional character.
